We're here to help our friends and neighbors find the joy they were made for in Jesus Christ. No matter your background, we're saving you a seat this Sunday!
South Durham Church is a growing family of people who love Jesus, love each other, and have a passion to serve our community.
You're welcome here, wherever you are with God and whatever questions you have. Come hang out and worship with us this Sunday. We look forward to meeting you.
When you arrive, look for South Durham Church signs to guide you into the parking lot. Friendly faces will be waiting to greet you (look for the Welcome sign), hand you the morning's bulletin, and guide you to the childcare check-in station or the auditorium.
When you enter the auditorium, you can find your seat. The worship service will include contemporary and traditional songs, a sermon, and Communion. An offering is collected, but guests are not expected to give. The bulletin you receive will walk you through each part of the service, so you won't feel lost.
During our worship service, children under the age of five are cared for in a fun, engaging, and secure environment. At 9 a.m., we teach children about the great God of the Bible who loves them. Our great volunteers teach age-appropriate lessons, in separate classes, for toddlers through fifth grade, and childcare is available for babies.
The Bible is the inspired Word of God, without error, and the final authority for life. God is one, in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Read more
South Durham Church is led by a team of elders, including Pastor Adam Darnell, who preaches most Sundays. Ministry Team leaders and staff support the work of the church.
We want to bring our community together to serve our community. Sign up here to get notifications about our regular Serve SoDu events, including the annual Love South Durham Festival.
The Gospel is for every nation, so we send teams to serve and share the love of Jesus around the world. We do the same for internationals in our own backyard.
People were made for community. We're starting new small groups all the time where you can be known, be loved, and get to know God better, with others.
